How to throw a quarantine NFL Draft party
With most of the country staying home due to coronavirus, the 2020 NFL Draft is shaping up to be the most-watched ever, even virtually. But with stay-at-home orders in place and social distancing guidelines urging 10 people or less, Draft parties will have to be just among family members and roommates this year.
But don’t let that stop you from celebrating responsibly. Here’s how to throw a Draft party while in quarantine.

How: To throw a proper 2020 NFL Draft party, you will need the following…
Food: Take the opportunity to support your local restaurants with takeout or delivery on the best football friendly foods, including wings, pizza, chips and dips. Lucky for you, we have a whole list of the best pizza places open for delivery and pickup in the DMV and the best wings in the DMV.
Dress for the occasion: Rep your favorite team in the Draft by wearing a jersey and getting ready to cheer them on (and boo Roger Goodell) when they’re up to pick. Here’s the Draft order if you need it. Or maybe abide by the NFL’s dress code for the draft just to be like an NFL prospect for a day?
Decorations: The Dollar Store is considered an essential business during the coronavirus pandemic, so head there to stock up on party decorations in your favorite team’s colors: plates, napkins, cutlery, cups, balloons and other decorations are all $1.
Come prepared with opinions: The Redskins Talk Pod and Ravens Talk Pod are great places to find ideas to pass off as your own. Or check out the mock draft to be able to shout “WHAT A SURPRISE” at any pick.
