As the co-creative director, along with her father, Andrea, of Buccellati, the storied Italian jewelry house, Lucrezia Buccellati understands how to balance contemporary ideas with timeless classicism. The fourth generation of her family to be involved in the business, which was founded in Milan in 1919 by her great-grandfather Mario, she is also the first woman to hold an artistic leadership role. Under her influence, the brand, known for its meticulous workmanship, has introduced more accessible price points and even engagement rings, all in an effort to lure the next generation of jewelry lovers. Recently Buccellati has been staying cozy with a favorite candle at the Connecticut home she shares with art-world husband David Wildenstein and their children.
Otherland Scented Candle
In these moments of quarantine, I’ve realized how important it is to be able to relax in a quiet space, far away from everything, and release your mind, almost in a meditating state. Every evening, I light up my candle, turn off all the lights, and look at the view of the sunset. I enjoy the nature while I wait for the sky to get darker, leaving a fine rim of light at the edge of the far hills while a soft glow and the fulfilling scent of the candle fills the room. This really comforts me, like snuggling with a warm blanket, and brings back memories that just make me smile. I bought a new candle online at Otherland a few weeks ago that has become a staple for me. As I just moved into my new home in Connecticut, I have found this candle fills up my space and makes it feel complete.
