MONTCLAIR, NJ — Montclair will be offering a range of activities and programs this summer, all consistent with social distancing and state coronavirus guidelines, officials say.
Montclair town officials released the following information about upcoming programs.
Pools

Mountainside and Nishuane Pools will open on Monday, July 13. Pool hours will be 11:00 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily. Due to COVID-19 regulations, pools will operate at a 50% capacity with social distancing.
All persons must be pool members. No daily passes or out of town guests will be permitted this season.
Township pool memberships will go on sale on Wednesday, July 8. Pool members may pick up their pool key fobs beginning Wednesday, July 8 at 10 a.m. at the Municipal Building located at 205 Claremont Avenue where an outdoor pick-up location will be provided in our parking lot. Proof of residency is required for pool key fob pick up.

Summer Sports and Fun Activities programs can begin registration on Tuesday, July 7. All Residents should register through the community pass system. For safety reasons, there is no in-person registration at this time. Please call the Recreation Department at 973-509-4915 if you need assistance.
Montclair RecreationBaseball/Softball Batting/Fielding Challenge
Test your hitting/fielding skills. Participants will be challenged to hit/field to all areas around the field for points. Skills will be stressed on a recreational level. Do your best! Develop hand-eye coordination and situational hitting/fielding drills, bunting, opposite-field hitting. Hit for power.

Batters must supply their own equipment, Batting Helmets, Batting gloves, Bats, fielding gloves and hand sanitizer. Sharing of equipment is not permitted.

Including daily temperature checks, social distancing during the activity. Facial coverings are required when social distancing cannot be maintained effectively.

Location: Edgemont Park
(program will meet in front of Edgemont Park House)
Activities include: theme days, games, team building activities and more
