Everyone has their own Thanksgiving tradition. Some wake up and stuff their faces for the next several hours with, like, turkey and stuff. Others wake up, go to Starbucks, drink their caffeinated drinks because they literally need them to function, and then continue about their days, whatever that might entail.
I’m here with news for those who tend to fall more in the latter bucket—for those who are sitting there Googling “is Starbucks open on Thanksgiving, pls is it? Are you sure? Are you sure?? Can I get my ‘Bux on Thanksgiving??? Seriously, can I…” as we speak.
The answer to that series of questions is…
Yes. It is! And yes. You can!
Sorry, I didn’t mean to make a whole thing of it, but yeah. In the past, most Starbucks locations operate business per usual on Thanksgiving Day. Of course, you can always be extra mindful and check in with your local Starbucks to see if their hours are adjusted at all due to the holiday.
Especially in these COVID-19 times, it’s important to see how restaurants are operating on holidays—at the very least, you’ll need a mask to go inside and get your order (that is, if the dining rooms in your state are open). If not, you’ll have to pull around the drive-thru on Turkey Day.
To reiterate: Play it safe and check in with your local Starbucks before you get too set on your Thanksgiving pink drink. Whether that means they’re only open for a few hours that day or that they’re staying open late to prep you for (safe and socially distant) Black Friday stampeding remains to be seen, but…just double check. Chances are you’ll be good to go. How exciting! You’re got turkey and PSLs in your future.
