Temecula Business Cougar Vineyard And Winery Needs Your Support

The new coronavirus has changed life for all of us. Local businesses have taken a huge economic hit, but communities are finding creative ways to support the establishments they know and love.

In an effort to help local businesses in our communities stay connected and succeed, Patch will shine a light on some of them through a series of Q&A articles during this time.

Cougar Vineyard and Winery is one of the businesses in town facing struggles during the coronavirus. You can lend your support by reading more about the company, below, and by contacting them here.

Tell us about your business and its history in your town.

We are a mom and pop winery established in 2004. We opened our winery and tasting room on De Portola Wine Trail 2006. We are ground to glass, producing all of our wines onsite.

How has the new coronavirus impacted your business and its employees?

We are only open limited hours and for bottle sales, wine club pick-ups and deli takeout. Most of our employees are furloughed. We are continuing to bottle and work the wines in anticipation of a more normal business in the near future.

How can local customers support you now and in the future?

Call in an order (wine or food or both) for curbside or inside pick-up. Gift certificates are always a great option to help out your local businesses and we can help you with those too!

Do you have any words of encouragement for your community?

Hang in there, this will pass and hopefully we’ll be stronger and safer as a result.

Are you offering any special services, promotions or hours during this time?

We are offering curbside pick-up for those who forget their masks or are uncomfortable coming into the winery. We are also offering complimentary shipping to OR, NV, AZ, CA, ID and WA for six or more bottles. Our hours have been shortened to 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. daily for the winery and deli.

Are there any other outstanding businesses in town you think deserve some community support?

Bird Family Tire and Auto, Hart Winery all of the De Portola Wine Trail wineries.
